So much for the new leaf!

So much for turning over a new leaf! Remember the saying: "The best laid plans of mice and men oft go awry" (or gang aft agley, if you are Scottish) by Robert Burns? That is what happened to me.

My mother passed away unexpectedly on January 6. I have been in the throes of dealing with the paperwork and all of the stuff that goes along with someone passing on. I have had a mixture of emotions going through her stuff and remembering who gave it to her, or a funny story that it brings to mind. She still had all of the old books that I spent summers reading and all of the cat "stuff" I had given her over the years. Most importantly, was our reconcilation at the end of her life. I praise God for the opportunity to reconcile.

Once things have settled to an even keel, I still have those plans to make more cards and finish a rather large scrapbooking project I am doing for an "adopted" daughter!

Tell someone you love them!

Birthday Cards

I made more birthday cards for my coworkers! There are many more men than women, so guy cards are in order. I have a friend with a Cricut Expressions. She cut out golf and skier images for me. The golf ball sentiment is created with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. Time to get to bed so I can function at work tomorrow!
